​Carrier unveils innovative HVAC technologies

CLK Corp. has repositioned itself as an energy solutions provider with innovative heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) technologies, according to a recent company advertisement highlighting its vision.

The company, better known for its in-house air conditioning brand Carrier, said on Monday that it is poised to expand its portfolio to cover various areas from energy solutions, data centers and smart farm energy solutions to clean rooms and dry rooms.

Its Intelligent Building Solution (IBS), a big data-driven integrated building management system tailored for skyscrapers, integrates cutting-edge technologies like artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), and machine learning. This system, customizing all a building’s facilities from air conditioning to security and lighting, ensures high efficiency with minimal power consumption to manage power consumption comprehensively.

It also has introduced the “AdvanTEC” algorithm, developed via technology sharing with HVAC company Carrier Global Corp. This AI algorithm, leveraging learning models and real-time monitoring, optimizes building operation considering factors including operation history, real-time building load, outside air conditions, and equipment operation characteristics. These high-energy efficiency solutions are already operational in key Seoul landmarks such as IFC Seoul and industrial facilities alongside Incheon International Airport Terminals 1 and 2, significantly reducing building energy costs and carbon emissions.

The company touts its heat pump technology as a next-generation air conditioning innovation enabling carbon neutrality and energy efficiency. The “dual inverter cascade compressor” ensures optimal operation in varying environments, while the “vector control inverter system” optimizes motor performance, enhancing energy-saving effects.

“We aim to be a global leader in energy solutions promoting carbon neutrality,” the company said, emphasizing its commitment to innovative design and AI-driven solutions for high-efficiency systems.
