Old World Christmas is Thinking Beyond the Tree, Expanding into 5 Key Product Categories

Founded in the USA in 1979, Old World Christmas, a wholesale Christmas ornament company, is celebrating its 45th year as a supplier of handmade glass ornaments. To celebrate this, the company introduces new products, holds several contests and ends the year with a big celebration.

“We take great pride in creating ornaments that capture the magic and nostalgia of the holiday season, as well as adding the pop culture, in-the-moment happenings of the world,” said Neal Applefeld, president and CEO. “We are grateful for the support of our customers and partners who have made our journey possible for the last 45 years and we look forward to helping them create new memories for another 45 years.”

To celebrate 45 years of creating beautifully crafted ornaments, puzzles, advent calendars and more, Old World Christmas will be expanding into five new categories of holiday décor this year, including:

  • Tabletop: The Santa Sapphire Collection features three 6-inch Santas that are perfect for ornaments or table décor. According to the company, each Santa features the most detailed painting it has ever offered.
  • Candles: New soy-based, exclusive scented candles include sparkling apple cider, vanilla Christmas cookie, fresh balsam, cranberries and spiced pumpkin.
  • Snow globes: Each snow globe showcases gnomes celebrating each of the four seasons and will be released later this year.
  • Lanterns: New lanterns feature beautiful winter scenes that include a continuous motion and add a traditional touch to holiday décor.
  • Greeting cards: A new greeting card collection features Christmas cards for family and friends. Each individually wrapped holiday card includes artwork of Old World Christmas ornaments, as well as embossed lettering, foil and glitter treatments.

In addition to adding new product categories to its line-up, Old World Christmas is releasing more than 200 new handcrafted ornaments through the year, from food to travel to pop-culture moments, as well as new brand partnerships: AC/DC, Elton John, The Rolling Stones, Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC), the Hollywood Sign and the Hollywood Walk of Fame will each have a line of delicately hand-painted, hand-glittered ornaments created to be released later this year.
